Antonio Miguel Vieira Monteiro

Antonio Miguel Vieira Monteiro engages in geographic databases and computer systems engineering. He is Head of the image processing division at INPE (1999-2006). He was visiting researcher at the laboratory of computational applications of the Department of Electrical Engineering of the Federal University of Ceará (UFC). He has already produced 1 book named Spatial Analysis of Geographical Data, 1 book (online) Introduction to Geoinformation Science, 22 articles in journals and 52 in national and international scientific conferences. He supervised 13 Master's dissertations in the Applied Computing and Remote Sensing programs at INPE and in Electrical Engineering at UFC, and 5 Doctoral Theses at INPE and 1 in co-supervision in Geography at USP.
