Li Yuheng is an associate professor at Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences. His research focus on rural evolution and resilience, global poverty reduction. He has published over 80 scientific papers, many of which appeared in world-known journals like Nature, Journal of rural Studies. At present, he serves as the secretary-General and treasurer for the Alliance of Poverty Reduction and Development at the Alliance of International Science Organizations in the Belt and Road Region (ANSO). He is also the associate editor of Journal of Rural Studies (2021-).
