Jai Singh Parihar served at Space Applications Centre of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Ahmedabad from 1974 to 2014 in various capacities reaching up to Outstanding Scientist, Dy. Director, Earth, Ocean, Atmosphere, Planetary Sciences and Applications Area (EPSA), and Mission Director, Earth Observations Applications Mission (EOAM). After retirement on superannuation, he worked as Prof. Satish Dhawan Professor at Space Applications Centre, Ahmedabad during Jan., 2015 - Jan., 2016. He led a team in the development of remote sensing data based crop production forecasting system and its operationlisation. He contributed in GEOGLAM programme and it was accepted by the UN-FAO. He guided projects on use of EO satellite data for natural resources, environment and disasters.
